Formed in Poland in 2006, Unsun have been receiving excellent reviews on their debut album, The End of Life. The band plays gothic metal which reminds Lacuna Coil especially because of the quality vocals of Aya, who, due to her beauty, also is responsible for attracting a considerable number of male metal fans to their gigs. The leader of the band though is Maurycy Stefanowicz (Mauser, also known for his work with Vader). The line-up also counts on Heinrich on bass and Vaaver on drums.
The CD presents 11 tracks which contrast heaviness and melody, resulting in a fine final prod. Songs like ‘Lost Innocence’, ‘Whispers’, ‘Blinded By Hatred’, ‘The Other Side’, ‘Destiny’ e ‘Closer To Death’ posses all the requirements necessary to make the band stand out from the fierce competition. This very edition also benefits from the inclusion of their video clip for ‘Whispers’. I’m pretty sure that we’ll be hearing a lot about Unsun for now on.
